Osteria LuCa, an Italian restaurant that began in Charlotte, North Carolina, plans to open in Huntsville early next year. The restaurant will be located at Stovehouse on Governors Drive and will be its first location outside Charlotte.

The opening is a milestone for both the restaurant and Power Brands Hospitality Group, which is expanding its vision of high-quality, authentic dining to a new audience. According to the announcement, Huntsville's rapid growth and rising demand for exceptional dining made the city a natural fit for the restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity.

Ken Martino, founder of Osteria LuCa Charlotte, said the city's tastes match the restaurant's approach. "Huntsville's appreciation for authentic, high-quality cuisine perfectly aligns with our vision," he said, adding that the city's strong sense of community, spirit of innovation and growing appetite for elevated dining make it the right place for the new venture.

The Huntsville menu will highlight what the restaurant describes as the bold, simple flavors of Italy with a modern twist. Diners can expect handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas and seasonal specials. In keeping with the restaurant's tradition, selections will be limited but will change often to emphasize freshness and seasonality.

The menu is designed to encourage sampling and sharing. Guests can stop in for a snack, a pizza and a cocktail, or stay for a full meal and a bottle of wine. The restaurant also offers an online reservation system, along with takeout and delivery options for those who prefer to dine at home.

Kumar Patel, managing partner of Power Brands Hospitality Group, described the Huntsville location as the start of "an exciting journey in North Alabama." He said the team wants to create a destination where residents can gather, celebrate special moments and connect. "Our goal is to make Osteria LuCa Huntsville the best Italian restaurant in the region," Patel said.

Local production partnerships are still in development, but the restaurant said it is eager to work with area farmers and producers as it becomes part of the community. Seasonal menu updates are intended to keep the offerings fresh and to pave the way for locally inspired dishes that reflect Huntsville's character.

The project drew on a team rooted in the Huntsville community. Fuqua & Partners Architects designed the space, and Stanley Graham Construction handled the build. Molly Moore of Fuqua & Partners Architects led the interior design, aiming for a modern yet welcoming atmosphere, while Brooks & Collier crafted the custom furniture.
