Florida’s women’s basketball team finished its final home exhibition game with a 107-54 victory over Flagler College on Wednesday night in Gainesville. The Gators established a commanding lead early in the contest, outscoring the visitors from St. Augustine by a wide margin.

Kiyomi McMiller, a freshman playing her first season under coach Tammi Reiss, scored the most points for Florida with 27. Vanessa Harris contributed 18 points and 15 rebounds in a double-double performance. Four other Gators also reached double-digit scoring, including Jade Weathersby with 13 points.

Reiss expressed mixed feelings about the team's effort. She said the first half helped work out some kinks for the 13 new players joining the roster. However, she was less satisfied with the second-half play, citing several letdowns and areas needing cleanup. Reiss noted that the team played unselfish basketball and managed turnovers and offensive rebounds well.

The coach praised Harris for her all-around impact. Reiss stated that Harris influenced the game through her rebounding, scoring, steals, blocks, and assists. She highlighted how Harris shifted into attack mode during dead runs in the second half. As a team, Florida hit 11 three-pointers, with McMiller and Moriah Murray combining for six of those shots.

The Gators will continue their schedule preparations for the upcoming season. The exhibition served as a final tune-up before the competitive slate begins.
