Hillsborough County supervisors are finalizing preparations for the November 3 midterm election as the early voting period concludes Sunday evening. The county’s 232 polling locations are currently being stocked with necessary equipment ahead of in-person voting.
Craig Latimer, the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections, confirmed that more than 2,000 poll workers have completed their required training. These staff members are ready to assist voters at their designated precincts on election day. Latimer noted that clerks are actively retrieving supplies to ensure each site is fully operational.
Voters who have not yet cast a ballot must vote at their specific precinct location rather than any general polling site in the county. Latimer advised voters to examine their pre-sent sample ballots immediately. The ballot includes six amendments, a detail that may require substantial reading time during the voting process.
Latimer warned that unprepared voters could spend approximately 30 minutes in privacy booths reviewing the amendment text. He suggested that reviewing materials at home would streamline the experience on election day. Early voting remains available Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., marking the final opportunity to vote before the two-day wait.
Citizens planning to vote in person on Tuesday must bring a valid form of identification. The elections office has emphasized the importance of planning ahead to avoid delays. With early voting ending Sunday, the county shifts its focus entirely to staffing the 232 sites for the main voting day.
