Brittany, the owner of Hourglass Pilates in the Seminole Heights neighborhood of Tampa, is asking residents for help identifying a vehicle after the studio's front window shattered on Sunday morning. The business, located on the 6100 block of North Central Avenue, discovered the damage when a friend saw a post in a local group and alerted her.

The incident occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 1, according to nearby surveillance footage reviewed by Tampa Police. Officers responded to the scene shortly after 8 a.m. on Nov. 2 after receiving a report of a broken business window. Upon arrival, officers found no one inside the studio and noted that no items appeared to be out of place.

Brittany reviewed exterior surveillance video that shows headlights approaching the building. The vehicle stops at the stop sign, and a sound similar to a gunshot is heard just before the window breaks. The truck then accelerates and continues down Hanna Avenue. The footage does not capture a license plate, but Brittany believes the vehicle is a white Ford F-150 with an extended cab.

Police have not confirmed the cause of the breakage. While Brittany believes a bullet struck the glass based on the audio in the video, Tampa Police stated they are still working to determine what broke the glass. The distinction between a confirmed gunshot and other potential causes remains central to the ongoing investigation.

Brittany told ABC Action News that another business located a few blocks away also sustained damage to its glass. She spoke with that owner, who confirmed the damage. The studio owner found additional footage she believes shows the same truck in the area.

The studio opened about a year and a half ago. Brittany worked alongside her father, who traveled from Kentucky to assist with the remodel. She described the process of painting and scrubbing floors before opening day, noting that the space holds personal significance for her.

After learning of the damage, community members began assisting with cleanup. Clients helped remove broken glass, and individuals shared contacts for glass repair companies. One member of the community offered to install plywood over the damaged window.

A resident who assisted after hearing about the incident described the response as typical for the neighborhood. She stated that people immediately began asking how they could help, emphasizing that residents rally around one another during such events.

Brittany plans to continue holding classes at the studio. She is seeking information from residents who may have seen the white Ford F-150 in the area during the early morning hours. She specifically asked for help identifying the driver and the owner of the vehicle.

Tampa Police are requesting information from anyone with details about the incident. Residents can call 813-231-6130 and reference case 26-641848. The investigation remains ongoing.
